Diff client IDs -> multiple leases

Exactly.  Configuring clients is not an option for me.

On top of that I'm not having any luck with the patch.  I'm using the 
"single-lease-dhcp" patch posted by Yedidyah Bar-David (aka Didi) at:

If anyone wants to help me figure out why it's not working for me feel 
free to contact me outside of the list and I'll give you more details on 
my setup.

I'm just an ordinary user, but for what it's worth I think it would be a 
great benefit to have a configurable option for how to handle uids sent 
(or not sent) by clients.  Even if it violates the RFC I don't see why 
that would be a problem if it's not the default setting.  Presumably 
you'd have know what you were doing in order to change it.
