dhclient was designed to have only a single daemon allocate=0D
addresses for all interfaces. As a result, the daemon only=0D
recognizes one dhclient.leases file.=0D
=0D
Meanwhile, the model employed by operating systems in bringing=0D
network interfaces up and down is on a per-interface basis.=0D
=0D
So if Redhat's system integrators ran dhclient twice without=0D
specifying different dhclient.leases files as a command line=0D
option, there would be problems. The two daemons would compete=0D
for the file, overwriting each other's output.=0D
