Transfer ID mismatch

Hello all,

we have a setup with around 5 diskless linux boxes getting their
address through DHCP. As it is a development testbed, these machines
are usually power cycled at the simultaneously.

We have observed that sometimes, especially if there are many reboots
in a short period, dhcp stops working. The machines cannot get their
address and thus cannot boot, and other machines already running
cannot renew their address with the dchp server.

After some tcpdump+dhcpump debugging when it is not working, we have
noticed that the server receives the requests and only sometimes
answers, but with a wrong transfer ID (maybe a cached one from a
previous dhcp request?). Usually after a few minutes (10?) it starts
working again.

We are using dhcp3-sever version 3.0.4-6ubuntu6.

Any help or suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
