disk-less and ifcfg-eth0 for dhscp

Simon,

No. No storage is involved. Only using two PCs back to
back connection. 

I simply want to see if my e1000 driver could get IP
address through dhcp when CONFIG_IP_PNP=y in 2.4
kernel. This is my purpose. How to implement it?
