Issues with rndc and dynamic updates

Hi everyone,

I tried to get rndc working on one of my servers which currently only uses
dynamic updates via nsupdate. Dynamic update works fine but for some reason
rndc will only allow me to run commands to the server but not a specified
zone.

If I run a freeze for instance I get:
rndc: 'freeze' failed: not found

On the other hand "rndc -s 127.0.0.1 status" works fine.

For the specified zones I only have the update-policy statement, should I
need to add anything special to allow rndc to manage the zone as well?
