Expiring mclt leases

I think a simple first step would be to upgrade. There has been nearly 4
years of development since 3.0.1 was released, so it is considered very
old and out of date now. Recommend trying 3.0.6 or 3.1.0 as either will
be upwardly compatible with your current config files.
