Does that work out-of-the-box, or is it a patch that's been compiled in?

That's not true. Men & Mice Suite uses OMAPI to release leases,
although it requires a certain minimum version of dhcpd. As I recall,
the threshold is 3.0.5 or 3.0.6 - it works with the default package
install on Ubuntu 8.10, but not on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.
