On my (FreeBSD) systems, dhcpd *does* say what interface is it listening
on, on startup. Slightly anonymized example:

Aug 1 22:25:13 dhcp2 dhcpd: Listening on BPF/vlan0/00:13:72:51:66:dd/193.75.x.y/30
Aug 1 22:36:43 dhcp2 dhcpd: Listening on Socket/vlan0/193.75.x.y/30

(The first one is your traditional "handle all broadcast traffic" dhcpd,
the second one only listens on a specific IP address, and thus requires
a DHCP relay agent.)
