DHCPv6 default gateway option?

Do you know what the argument for the current method is?  What advantage 
is there supposed to be to getting IP stack information from multiple 
locations?

Maybe it makes sense for the corporate campus, but how is it supposed to 
help ISPs like those of us on this list?
