I made the chance you suggested and got the following:

IPv6 addresses are only available in DHCPv6 mode.

How do I switch to DHCPv6 mode?

Thanks

Pease check the options for dhcpv6 in the man page

For instance the correct one for V6 dns server is the one below

option dhcp6.name-servers FD00::1;

Regards

Patricio

Hey all,

I’m trying to configure DHCPv6 for use with my sunray’s and Solaris, and I’m having problems setting up the options I want to use.

I think I have the correct options, but I’m having problems with the syntax

My options are as follows

option domain-name "sscorp.com";
option domain-name-servers 2001:470:c27d:e000:88cb:fe1b:c4b0:92a1;
option_domain_list 2001:470:c27d:202:2e0:81ff:fe55:bfca;
option_sntp_servers 2001:470:c27d:202:2e0:81ff:fe55:bfca;
option_sip_server_d 2001:470:c27d:202:2e0:81ff:fe55:bfca;
option_dns_servers 2001:470:c27d:202:2e0:81ff:fe55:bfca;

But I’m getting these errors

Jul 21 15:58:07 dhcpv6 dhcpd: /usr/local/etc/dhcpd.conf line 9: semicolon expected.
Jul 21 15:58:07 dhcpv6 dhcpd: option domain-name-servers 2001:

I’ve tried putting semicolons where the arrows are, but that didn’t help.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Thanks
