Network Address getting assigned to client and ping not working (ver 4.2.2)

Hi,

> The .0 and .255 are valid IP addresses within the network but ~some~ 

ONLY of the network spans over those addresses - ie only if they are
NOT network or broadcast addresses for the subnet (as was in this case where 
is was a /24 so they were used for IP )

we give out .0 and .255 within bigger subnets and have done so for years.
any device/kit that doesnt like that is turned off, burnt , smashed or skipped.
