DHCP Failover and Performance

I was actually not seeking help, just adding to the thread from personal experience.

   Putting your lease file in virtual defeats the purpose and goes against the DHCP RFC that requires the server to ‘Harden’ the lease before offering it.  If the server crashes you lose your leases.
