Buffer read error when reading leases file.

Hi All,

 

I've been trying to debug why our dhcp-v6 service wasn't starting when this
line appeared in syslog:

 

dhcpd: /var/lib/dhcp/dhcpd6.leases: file is too long to buffer.

 

Upon checking the file, I found it was a massive 6.2GB in file size!

 

This server handles a floating number of around 300-500 clients-devices, how
on earth could the leases file grown this large?
