losing IPv6 address on time change

Hi all,

I noticed the following behavior in my environment:

  1.  system starts with incorrect time (unix epoch beginning, it's expected), dhclient starts and bounds IPv6 address;
  2.  correct time is established by NTP server response;
  3.  dhclient initiates DEPREF6/EXPIRE6/BOUND6, which causes losing IPv6 address for a little time;

Could anybody clarify if #3 is expected behavior and point me to any documentation describing that?
