I find that, normally when i stop the client using the command KILL and then restart it, it demand the address that it is used the most recent times to the server (for exemple A), not the address indicated in the file dhclient.conf (for exemple B). I have changed the range of address in dhcpd.conf that the server use to provide to its clients so that it doesnt include A. Then, i start dhclient by:<br>sudo dhclient -cf dhclient.conf eth1<br> The address provided by server now is B (by watching Wireshark), not A like before. But when using ifconfig, the client can not detect this address.
