Hi,<br>
<br>
I'm trying to set up a set of separate network segments that are
hosted from the same DHCP server within a shared network segment.
The DHCP discover messages come with the relay address embedded in
them (location 0x42 in the packet I believe).<br>
<br>
Is there a way to specify a class based on that?<br>
<br>
Alternatively, how does one define vendor specific options so that
the DHCP server understand what you're trying to configure? I can
add a specific string to the relayed dhcp request in my dhcp relay,
and I can see that string inside the option 82 segment of the dhcp
discover packet on the server with wireshark, but I can't find
anything to tell me how to instruct the server to start processing
that.<br>
<br>
Thanks,<br>
<br>
Sven.<br>
