<div><span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"></span>I have downladed the ISC DHCP-4.2.3 open source code and I am testing dhcpv4 in that.</div>
<div><span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"></span>using that package , i started communication between client and server. </div>
<div><span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"></span>Client can server able to communicate using Discover , offer, Request and Ack messages.</div>

<div><span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"></span>In dhcpd.conf file , i have done some changes.</div>
<div><span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"></span>In that conf file,</div>
<div><span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"></span>default lease time 3600;</div>
<div><span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"></span>max-lease-time 7200;</div>
<div><span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"></span>and i have changed to</div>
<div><span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"></span>default lease time 10;</div>
<div><span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space: pre; "></span>max-lease-time 20;</div>
<div><span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"></span>After the mentioned 20 seconds, Client is not sending DHCP release message, Instead its again start sending Message from the beginning like discover,offer,request,Ack.</div>
<div><span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"></span>My problem is client not sending DHCP release message after the (max-lease-time 20).</div>
<div><span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"></span>I would like to know when we can able to get DHCP Release message.</div>
<div><span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"></span>I would like to know how to get the Dhcp release message by changing the conf file.</div>
<div><span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"></span>Please let me know what should i Change in the default conf file.</div>
