Yes. The arguments I used were...

makehistory -i -b

I've managed to get it working now by unmounting the newsspool, running
a makehistory -i, then remounting the newsspool, starting innd, and
doing a "makehistory -u". Although it appears to be working, I'm sure
there must be a more "correct" way than this. I'm also concerned that
sometime down the road when I have to rebuild the history database, I'll
run into to same problem.
