INN 2.3.1 bug?

I updated our usenet server (Sun Ultra 2, Solaris 8)
from INN 2.3 to INN 2.3.1 two days ago.  It appears
to be working fine.  However, it is not sending out
a daily report.  It is expiring messages.  When I
configured the new version, I used the command:

./configure --with-sendmail=/usr/lib/sendmail --with-perl
