Ok.  Hmm.

If you're up to it, can you trace into one of the HIS calls (I expect
they're *all* failing, so it shouldn't be hard)?  I think the history
pointer is ending up null (which tomorrow snapshot should reveal),
although I can't see how yet.



[ Unless anybody else is interested, I'm happy to take this off the list
  until we get it resolved...the details of the call stack can't make
  very interesting reading, though. ]
