"Can I Persuade You", a new CD by the Vanguard Jazz Orchestra has just been nominated for a Grammy Award. This CD features many of the top players in New York who perform regularly with the band every Monday night at the Village Vanguard jazz club. Get your copy at the Jazzconnect CD Store

The 3rd Annual Jazzconnect Competition has come to an end. This year's competition, for vocalists, had 200 contestants from 18 countries. The grand prize was awarded to Kelley Johnson, from Seattle Washington who will soon be claiming her prize at Birdland jazz club in New York where she will be performing and recording a live CD. If you missed the competition, tune in to our archive where you can hear over 20 hours a great jazz.
