BAD MAN 2003 Update
After week 1 of the Bad Man 2003 handicapping contest, a few players have
come out of the gate strong. Alex, ParlayPaulie,Thor4140, and yours truly
lead the pack with a stellar 4-1 start. The Bad Man consensus beat the
HiltonContest consensus with a 4-1 mark compared to 3-2 for the Hilton
contestants. The only loss for the BAD MAN consensus was with Carolina -3'
over Jacksonville.
The BAD MAN contest picks will be posted for Week 2 at approximately noon on
Sunday. The Stardust Invitational picks are up for your viewing pleasure,
along with the top Hilton cappers from week 1. This should prove to be an
interesting season as we compare the Bad Man cappers to the Las Vegas Hilton
Super contest cappers. Good luck and thank you to all that joined the
contest.
Saturday Selections
Last week 2-1 ATS
Overall 4-2
The only loser last week was Notre Dame as they rallied but failed to hold
onto the lead and the cover late. For the week I went 2-1, which made the
twoweek season total record at 4-2.
For this Saturday I like the following trio:
Purdue Pick over Wake Forest
Notre Dame +9' over Michigan
Nebraska -10 over Penn St
I think we will see a different Purdue team this week than we did last week,
and the Wake dream has to come to an end soon. They have been out gained
statistically the first two games but have found a way to win. I see revenge
from last year also coming into play. I will take the better team in this
spot. Play Purdue over Wake Forest in a NOON Eastern time start on ESPN.
Notre Dame and Michigan have played a very tight series. Did the Irish look
ahead when playing Washington St? Michigan is a talented club, and ranks #5
currently in my poll of the top 5 college teams. Michigan will more than
likely win the game, but the line is very generous in a series of nail
biters. This game can be seen live on ABC at 330PM Eastern. Here's to
anotherclose game.
As for the final selection, look to what Penn St has done to stop the run in
their first two games, think of the 40-7 prime time embarrassment last year,
a change of venue, a team hungry to prove last year was a fluke, and you are
looking at a potential blowout in this spot. I think Nebraska runs through
holes as big as swiss cheese, and the Penn St offense should be totally shut
down. Lay the points and watch the beating that should take place. This game
is on ABC at 8 Eastern time.
Best of luck with your selections this week, feel free to come and post your
picks for the NCAA and NFL games in the forum, and take part in the other
topics of interest. There is something for everyone in the forum. From
handicapping information to contest, FREAK has you covered.
We hope to have you as a registered active member soon.
