I like to second this. I'm using INN as a server in our education as in
"plain entertainment"(global newsgroups).

Most of these groups is common and everyone should be able to use them
for reading and posting.

My local groups is a different matter. I have teachers that wants only
their students to get access to the newsgroup. I even want to have
groups with global read, but authenticated post. Even authenticated read
and a different authenticated post. I know.. It's a little bit too much,
but it's a question that have popped up now and then.

I like the possability to be able to check against other authentication
services, and I must say that adding SSL support is a very great
improvement(hurray!!!).

Ofcourse I can help if I can, but I'm not that well versed in the code
and have little knowledge at the moment about it.

Mvh,
