That fixed the problem great, looks like my old history file had a bug
around line 1 million. Appears that my RAID vendor shipped me a batch of
dodgy drives and the odd disk error is making holes in files.
I'll be spending the rest of the week swapping drives and watching the
raidset rebuild I guess.
Thanks heap sto various people on this list for help with my problems,
I've found 2.3 great once it is setup (and doesn't have hardware bugs). I
replaced my news router with INN (from diablo) and it's now ticking over
at a nice 140GB/day, just trying to get the other boxes up to the same
level.
