Tp and Tc flag in newsfeeds?

hello all,

        i wonder to know what are the different between Tc and Tp in
newsfeeds
configuration file, the man page said that:

                   c    Channel
                   f    File
                   l    Log entry only
                   m    Funnel (multiple entries feed into one)
                   p    Program
                   x    Exploder

        i have two entries in newsfeeds, but i don't know if i can replace
the
Tp by Tc or Tc by Tp. btw, what is the meaning of '!' in "news2mail!",
is it required??
