I am running INN 2.2.3 on solaris ( sunOS 5.6). I am writing some client code ( with perl NNTPClient) that does numerous GROUP commands each potentially followed by numerous ARTICLE commands. The server logs have "failure to opendir "/foo/bar(etc.) . Too many open files". Would it help if the system-wide file descriptor limit were raised? Andrew Brooks
