innreport not fully working

Hmmm, news.notice is always empty, as is news.err and 
news.crit, the only logfiles to have entries are 'news', 
'unwanted.log', 'expire.log' and 'nntpsend.log' 

I have changed roots cronjob to do 'su news -c' beforehand, but it 
makes no difference, still no articles ?!?!
