I saw this for a few minutes

Digital Unix.... latest STABLE dated 18th....

  Plenty of swap , and memory... could it have
filled the disk temporarily ? Blocking IO ?
Or simply a fail to a memory call....

Also, checking the code I see:

  Oh... I see.... this function is a serious work in progress....

   ov.index is coming up NULL.... any insights, from the ones doing
work on that function ?
