Thanks for your comment, Russ & Kondo-san.
I removed it on a test machine and cron daemon send me a mail like
this.

/usr/bin/compress -d active
/usr/local/news/bin/actsync -i /usr/local/news/etc/actsync.ign -v 0 -p 80 -o c ./active
/usr/local/news/bin/actsync: unable to determine default server name
FATAL: Tue May 8 04:00:05 JST 2001 for ftp.isc.org actsync balked
Seems simpleftp did its job but I did something wrong with my
configuration file. ;-)
I might be back agin for further help. Anyhow, I think simpleftp did
its job.
