mailpost and crossposted mailing lists

Greets -

Anyone have any solutions for dealing with duplicate message id headers when
using mailpost resulting from users cross posting to multiple mailing lists?

Example: 

mailpost gateway of testlist at ibm.com -> newsgroup.lists.testlist
mailpost gateway of othertest at ibm.com -> newsgroup.lists.othertest

If a user emails both testlist at ibm.com and othertest at ibm.com in the same To:
line then two messages are sent, with identical message id headers, to both
gateways. Obviously inews fails to post the second article because it has a
duplicate message id header.

Perhaps some clever procmail to fix this?
