Russ, I think innupgrade.pl.in needs the require-innshellvars magic,
doesn't it? I got this:
/usr/local/news/bin/innupgrade /usr/local/news/etc
Updating inn.conf, old verion saved as inn.conf.OLD
inn.conf: cannot find UID and GID of
which looks like $inn::newsuser is undefined...
