dbzstore error reporting

I get the following amusing errors:

    makehistory: dbzstore duplicate message-id [...] Success

which are surely indicative of something including errno when it 
should just show the text in question.  But I don't know enough about the 
possible errors there to know which cases should call strerror() and which 
shouldn't, so I thought I'd toss it out as a general heads-up.
