daily rotate of inn logs

Hi,
I'm having a problem on inn 2.3.2-3 (Debian woody) concerning the daily
rotate of the logs. The logfiles are properly moved to /var/log/news/OLD/
but they never get compressed. Furthermore, older logs have a 0 size.
The following example is more clear :
22:30:zamok: news/OLD% ls -l news.notice*
-rw-r----- 1 news news 1605057 jui 2 04:15 news.notice
-rw-r----- 1 news news 0 jui 3 04:15 news.notice.0
-rw-r----- 1 news news 0 jui 4 04:15 news.notice.1.gz
-rw-r----- 1 news news 0 jui 5 04:15 news.notice.2.gz
-rw-r----- 1 news news 0 jui 6 04:15 news.notice.3.gz
-rw-r----- 1 news news 0 jui 7 04:15 news.notice.4.gz
This seems to be due to a problem with gzip during the rotate cycle and the
use of 'scanlogs', because news.daily in his daily mail reports the
following errors juste before the 'expire' section of the mail:
gzip: /bin/gzip has 3 other links -- unchanged
gzip: /bin/gzip has 3 other links -- unchanged
gzip: /bin/gzip has 3 other links -- unchanged
gzip: /bin/gzip has 3 other links -- unchanged
gzip: /bin/gzip has 3 other links -- unchanged
gzip: /bin/gzip has 3 other links -- unchanged
gzip: /bin/gzip has 3 other links -- unchanged
gzip: /bin/gzip has 3 other links -- unchanged
gzip: /bin/gzip has 3 other links -- unchanged
