This appears in my news.err logfile (INN 2.4.0 (20021017 prerelease)):

The group alt.bite doesn't exists in my active file. From the headers:

 Newsgroups: alt.binaries.sounds.mp3,alt.bite,alt.y2k.end-of-the-world
 Message-ID: <ap9lmb$gea$65 at news.onet.pl>
 Xref: news-x2.support.nl alt.binaries.sounds.mp3:252668 alt.bite:3302 alt.y2k.end-of-the-world:706

Something is going wrong when one of the newsgroups doens't exist when writing
history and overview for that article.
