local msg removal

Hello,

Idon't know if this is a trivial question, but:

How can I remove a article/message/posting in a local newsgroup.

I want to remove it "immediately" so that it isn't in the spool area anymore.

I tried  "ctlinnd cancel <id>"   but the msg still shows up when someone reads
the newsgroup.
