Okay, this is basically identical to what we do at Stanford, except that
you authenticate on-campus connections as well and add the authenticated
identity to the post.

I'm in the middle of a few other things right now, but this weekend I'll
try to write up how you do this.  I implemented this at Stanford without
requiring any INN code changes, and I think you can do the same with INN
2.3 or later (although I forget exactly when the authsender stuff got
added to INN).
