Why can't I telnet mynewsserver 119?

When you're trying to use localhost which is 127.0.0.1,
you're connecting from 127.0.0.1 which is allowed by default.

When you're using external IP address, you're opening conenction
from your external IP which is definitely missed in your readers.conf.
Put it in and try it out.
