You seem to have a corrupted overview database somehow.  I'm not sure how 
you managed that, but to fix:

- Try using tdx-util and see if it it finds any problems (-A) and can
  fix them (-F).  If that doesn't work, keep going:

- If you have no articles you care about in that group, just wipe the 
  appropriate .DAT and .IDX file in $pathoverview for the group that's
  corrupted.  If you do, and the group is stored in tradspool, use 
  tdx-util to rebuild (-R).

- If that doesn't work, or the group is not in tradspool, last resort
  is to use makehistory -O (and perhaps -x) to rebuild all of overview.



I think the "Bad file descriptor" is spurious -- Russ, do you mean to be 
using syswarn() there?
