(Well, it's probably better to configure expire.ctl to keep messages
forever, rather than running news.daily with "noexpire" or even worse not
running news.daily at all. That may be what you're already doing,
though.)

This is certainly no problem for overview (it's only a couple weeks worth
of news.admin.net-abuse.sightings, for example). It's a bit much for
tradspool on some filesystems, I think, but the only effect of that should
be a speed hit, and you can always switch (i.e. add a new rule to
storage.conf, leaving the old one there so old articles remain accessible)
if that becomes a problem.
