Are these groups required for all systemS in order for them to work
properly??
control Various control messages (no posting).
control.cancel Cancel messages (no posting).
control.checkgroups Hierarchy check control messages (no posting).
control.newgroup Newsgroup creation control messages (no =
posting).
control.rmgroup Newsgroup removal control messages (no posting)
The reinstalled system seems to think so.
I can now post but not read ... I think I can fix that so will try.

Perhaps editing the INSTALL document with a warning...might help. I =3D
installed it that way because our old system had it and it implied you =
might
want =3D to use the tcl utilities later.

So as it turns out, this looks to be a problem with TCL filtering.
There's no chance of that code working with current INN, right? Can =
we=3D20
put a caveat in INSTALL and/or `./configure --help` so that unsuspecting =
=3D
people don't compile it in thinking "well, why not?"?
