history: Numerical argument out of domain

Hi all,

We have a inn server holding text articles with a rather long
retention time and thus a large history file. Since a few
days, inn has a problem untrottling after the normal expire
tasks (news.daily). The following errors are logged:

Feb 8 08:25:02 news2 innd: can't dbzinit
/usr/local/news/spool/db/history Numerical argument out of domain
Feb 8 08:25:02 news2 innd: can't dbzclose
/usr/local/news/spool/db/history Numerical argument out of domain
Feb 8 08:25:02 news2 innd: SERVER can't open history
/usr/local/news/spool/db/history: Numerical argument out of domain

The history files look like this:

-rw-rw-r-- 1 news news 7424262985 Feb 8 12:50 history
-rw-rw-r-- 1 news news 86 Feb 8 12:50 history.dir
-rw-rw-r-- 1 news news 1352064402 Feb 8 12:12 history.hash
-rw-rw-r-- 1 news news 1802752536 Feb 8 12:12 history.index

inn is 2.4.2 compiled with large file support and perl support.

I haven't been able to reproduce this. Starting inn
manually doesn't give a problem. No limits apply (looking
at ulimit -a), the server is running linux (debian) and
is equipped with 4 GB RAM.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Patrick Schreurs
