Expire problem

Hello,

I'm running INN 2.3.5 with CNFS and tradindexed overview. Today
I found out:

- history is very big: 5GB
- ctlinnd mode says almost always: "Reserved Expiring process $NUMBER"
(that means that expire doesn't expire because it thinks, it already does?)
- overview is within normal parameters

Crontab says:
0 2 * * * /usr/local/news/bin/news.daily expireover lowmark

News.daily says:
Expire messages:
expire begin Mon Feb 23 02:02:08 CET 2004: (-v1 -z/news/log/expire.rm)
    Can't reserve server
    Article lines processed 0
    Articles retained 0
    Entries expired 0
    Articles dropped 0
    Old entries dropped 0
    Old entries retained 0
expire end Mon Feb 23 02:02:08 CET 2004
all done Mon Feb 23 02:02:08 CET 2004
expireover start Mon Feb 23 02:02:08 CET 2004
expireover end Mon Feb 23 02:46:00 CET 2004
lowmarkrenumber begin Mon Feb 23 02:46:00 CET 2004: (/news/log/expire.lowmark)
lowmarkrenumber end Mon Feb 23 02:46:01 CET 2004

Ok, the server cannot be reserved. But why does the old reserved-thing
not disappear?

/remember/ and artcutoff are at 3 days.

OS is FreeBSD 4.8-Stable.

At the moment this bahaviour isn't really a problem, because the
server is running and is still fast enought. But I'd like to solve
this before it becomes a problem. ;-)

Any hints?

Kind regards
Nikki Britz
