Hi Robert,
    thanks for the reply.
Here's what I need to do:
I'd like to have an email address from the mail.server get posted to
a news.server. The news server is only for archiving mail from this
account (no other newsgroups or feeds).
This is what I have working:
I can connect and post articles from mozill's newsgroup client. The
articles show up in spool/articles like every thing is working fine.
I'm allowed to send a email message using mail2news.pl from the
mail.server to the news.server. However, those messages never show up on
the newsgroup. They sit in spool/incoming .

We have some differences in our setup from what you described but I have
the mail.server pipe the message through mail2news.pl and the message
get into the spool/incoming.
I know nothing about innd and haven't really used a newsgroup other than
trying to get this setup so I'm sure I missing something simple. Most of
the documentation I've found is outdated and generally describes complex
setups that I don't need and can't relate to what I'm doing.
Any help would be great.
TIA,
chrisj
