INN 2.4.1 produces many defunct processes

I have found out that these processes result from:
"ctlinnd reload all test"
Which I had it run after the innd starts.

I have stopped that .. However these defunct processes keep appearing
(apart from the very first one!!)

I am not sure why "ctlinnd reload all test" would produce such
processes, and also if I don't run it manually is it run automatically
every some time?
