I'm not sure that default newsfeeds entry is particularly useful; it was a
nice idea (to try to keep local from leaking), but ends up not doing the
right thing if people are actually using local as a distribution (which
isn't a very good idea, but oh well).
Anyway, you want to remove the !local thing from the ME line and then will
probably need to wipe the databases on the new server and start over,
since those articles will have been rejected and noted in history and
won't be accepted now without a database wipe.
