I suspect you mean "may help at least on Solaris" :)

If you are on Solaris, set your inn.conf on your writer to include the
option `nfswriter true' and on your readers, `nfsreader true' and
nfsreaderdelay to a delay which is greater than all of the assorted
nfs timeouts you have set. Set your overview format to tradindexed and
your overcachesize to 0.

Its not the greatest solution in the world, but it mostly works.
