Is ident enabled by default for readers

Greetings!

 	I've been doing some testing with our yet-to-be-deployed firewall, 
when I noticed something strange:  It seems that my news server (INN 2.4.1 
on linux) is trying to connect to client hosts on the ident port (113). 
The odd thing is that I could have sworn that I didn't enable ident auth 
with nnrpd in readers.conf, so I'm wondering what I've missed....

Any insights would be appreciated....
