CURRENT is warning-free

I'm pleased to announce that at least under Debian GNU/Linux testing with
GCC 3.3, CURRENT builds completely warning-free with the following
options:

WARNINGS        = -g -O -DDEBUG=1 -Wall -W -Wendif-labels -Wpointer-arith \
                  -Wbad-function-cast -Wcast-align -Wwrite-strings \
                  -Wstrict-prototypes -Wmissing-prototypes -Wnested-externs \
                  -Werror
