Yes, that seems reasonable.  You'll need to wait a night after 
adjusting it (for the nightly expire run to remove the old entries from 
the history database).

It would require some scripting and INN experience...you'd stop the 
server, use $pathbin/grephistory to identify each appropriate line, and 
then remove it.  I don't know of anyone who's ever tried this 
technique.
