-Wno-error in subversion

I'm trying to compile INN from subversion for the first time. I use
--with-perl, of course.

Right after building libinn.a, the compile dies with:

gcc -g -O2 -I../include -fno-strict-aliasing -pipe -I/usr/lib/
perl5/5.8.6/i686-linux/CORE -Wno-extra -c perl.c
cc1: error: unrecognized option `-Wno-extra'

My compiler is:

Configured with: /var/tmp/portage/gcc-3.3.2-r5/work/gcc-3.3.2/
configure --prefix=/usr --bindir=/usr/i686-pc-linux-gnu/gcc-bin/3.3 --
